Privacy Policy

Plain-language privacy for a local-first word game.

This privacy policy describes how the current WordIn Android application handles data. WordIn is designed as a word puzzle game with local progress, level completion, stars, sound preferences, and support links available through the Settings screen.

Last updated: June 13, 2026
This policy is written to match the current Android app implementation in this project. If the app later adds analytics, accounts, cloud sync, ads, purchases, or new SDKs, this page should be updated before release.

Overview

WordIn does not currently declare the Android INTERNET permission in its manifest. Based on the current codebase, the app experience is centered on offline gameplay and local storage.

The app includes a Settings screen with links to a website, a privacy policy page, and a contact email. Opening those links may hand you off to external apps such as a browser or email client.

Information stored on your device

The current app stores gameplay-related data locally on the device, such as:

  • Level progress
  • Completed levels
  • Stars earned
  • Found words for a level
  • Sound effect preference

Information we do not currently collect in-app

Based on the current project code, WordIn does not currently implement:

  • User accounts or sign-in
  • Cloud sync
  • Advertising SDKs
  • In-app analytics SDKs
  • In-app purchases
  • Background network tracking

How local data is used

The app uses local data to make gameplay work as expected. This includes showing unlocked levels, displaying your progress, remembering which words you have already found, and keeping your sound setting between sessions.

A reset action is available in the Settings screen. If you choose that option, the app clears local gameplay progress and starts over from the beginning.

External links

WordIn includes links in the Settings screen to a website, this privacy policy, and a support email address. When you tap those items, you may leave the app and open a third-party app or service such as your browser or email client. Those services are governed by their own privacy practices.

Children’s privacy

WordIn is a word game and is not currently built around account creation or direct in-app personal data collection. If future versions introduce features that collect personal information, this section should be reviewed and updated to reflect the final release behavior and any applicable age-related requirements.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated if the app changes. In particular, it should be revised before any release that adds network access, analytics, advertising, crash reporting, account systems, external SDKs, or other new forms of data handling.
